Comprehensive facilities for construction, conversion and repair
The Hepworth Shipyard features entirely self-contained, purpose-built facilities for the construction, conversion and repair of small to medium-sized steel vessels.
Fabrication shed - 30m x 12m
The fully-covered hull construction facility is immediately adjacent to the Fitting and Joiners shops.
Dry dock– 42m x 8.5m
Hepworth’s dry dock is utilised for both the fitting-out of new build vessels and the repair or conversion of other craft.
Slipway – vessels up to 60m
Conveniently slipping into the River Humber, the slipway has been designed for shallow-draft vessels such as barges, pontoons and small ferries.
